Joseph Cornell


I found it interesting how he placed the trees so that it covers her so much the details are unrecognizable but not as much to mask who she is. I also like how he took the eyes out of the doll to add to the Eerie effect. I also think he did something to the bottom of the doll.










I like how he placed the doll to make it look like it has more dimension than the background, making the background look flat and having her pop out. The red thing she's holding too also contrasts a lot but still works in the art piece.













The tree's in this picture have a character about them that sticks out compared to the building. It has this more eerie effect that contrasts with the calm mellowness of the building and people.
